"Living in a fantasy world is not denying the existence of another's reality; it's just living in a reality of you own."

Welcome to my realm of fantasy. Journey through the portals into the depths of magick. Meet faeries and elves, dragons and sorcerers, and above all, enter a realm where anything is possible.

You pass over the threshold of the magnificently carved double doors and enter a hall. Light pours through tall, stained-glass windows, creating jeweled patterns upon the floor that dance as people dressed in flowing, expensive gowns and doublets pass over them. As you gaze at your surroundings, you notice that the far wall is lined with doors, each carved and tastefully painted in its own fashion. Upon one, fairies dance through the air, filling the treetops with their beauty, and another shows King Belgarion, brandishing his mighty sword, which blazes with the light of the Orb of Aldur. Yet another is carved magical symbols, and the last seemeth the entrance to the Grand Hall. You pass through the entrance hall, nodding politely when you see someone you are certain you must have met at some long-past time. You reach the portals, and now are faced with a decision: which of them must you enter? Behind one may wait the foul magician Zalasta, and behind another a fairy who will draw you into her realm and never allow you to return to the world of mortals. Or will you be able to return through any portal, or shalt thou remain forever in these other worlds? Choose wisely, for thine fate may hangeth upon thy choice.

But suddenly you turn. Standing before you is a maiden, who inquires whether you would care to remain yet a while in the hall. You decide to do so, since you will always be able to return to the doors at a later time. As she leads you in among the guests, you ask her how she came to be here, and why she has chosen to remain.
"I am the creator of this realm," she answers you. "I founded it because I wished to bring into existence a place into which others could escape when they felt the need to leave their mundane worlds behind. Perhaps the thing of greatest import you will ever know in order to understand me is that books are my life. I have lived in fantasy books for so long, I wished to create a kingdom in which others could live. That is how it began. I wished for others to have the opportunity to experience a world of fantasy . . . or what is oft times called fantasy." She looks away. Then, as if asking a question more of the gods and the universe than you, she wonders, "But what precisely is fantasy? Some would think it what is not real, but if these books in which I find my friends are fantasy, that is not the meaning. Is it that which pertains to magic, or is it simply what we do not have? . . . or what others do not think we have.

"My life has forever been centered around those things that are not believed in by many people, such as faeries," she says, turning back to you. "These mysterious creatures of so many faces--of joy, of mischief, of pleasure, of sorrow, pain, seductiveness--must surely exist, and it is difficult for me to comprehend why anyone could doubt this.

"Is there a reason," she asks, "why everyone thinks that their beliefs are true, while everyone else's are meaningless? Who can say truthfully what reality is? One should forever question what is believed to be reality, for there is always more to be discovered which people were sure did not exist.

"Forgive me," she says, collecting her thoughts. "I ramble on about nothing, speaking whatever may enter my thoughts. . . And believe me," she says, her eyes twinkling impishly, "you don't want to hear about everything that enters my mind!

"I must leave you now," she says sadly, "but please journey into the other facets of my kingdom. Mayhaps we will meet again someday." With that, she curtsies to you, her lavender skirt rustling quietly, and mounts a spiraling staircase, guarded by two men in black armor, gripping finely polished swords. You decide not to follow her, due to these knights, but instead make your way once again through the room to the doorways, and pause a moment before entering one.

Another glimps into the thoughts of the Queen of this magical kingdom. You should now be warned that it isn't a pleasant experience.
